Healy Ancestry in Cork County

I will be visiting Ireland in Mid May, and would love to find some Healy relatives. My great grand father - John Michael Healy, was baptized in the St Senan's Catholic church in the Inniscarra Parish in Cork County. His parrents were Mary Hagerty and Timothy Healy. All emigrated to the US in the 1860's. I would love to just chat with some Healy's in Cork County, even if we aren't related. How can I connect with Ireland Healy's that would enjoy chatting with a US Healy? Thanks.

I searched on the subscription site Roots Ireland and could not locate the baptismal record for John Michael Healy with the parents you listed. There were seven Healy baptisms in Inniscarra with father Timothy but the mother's names were not Hagerty and none were a Mary.

I did find four baptismal records in Mourneabbey, two parishes north of Inniscarra where the parents were Timothy Healy and Mary Hegarty. See names and dates below. Any possible connection?

Timothy May 6 1834

Margaret March 3 1839

Thomas May 23 1841

Daniel May 28 1844.

We don't arrange connections/meetings based on a surname. Hopefully, when you are in Co. Cork, you might see a Healy establishment and can ask for the owner.

Copy of entry from the register in Glenmire 7th February 1826 which although badly written and worn seems to confirm a marriage between Mary Hegarty and a Timothy Haly (Healy) . Few people could read and write in that time , including the clergy so names were recorded as they sounded including with the local accent.
