Hannon, McDonnell, Heffernan
The 1849 marriage record in South Boston, MA for Timothy Hannon, my great-great grandfather, clearly names his parents as Daniel and Mary. The only couple with these namesthat fit the time frame and Cork origins are Daniel Hannon and Mary McDonnell (possibly Donnel) of Doneraile. However, I cannot find any record of them having a son named Timothy. The only Timothy Hannon/Hannan I can find was born to William Hannan and Catherine Heffernan of Barrack-Buttevant in July 1820. This birthplace is very, very near to Doneraile. I've looked in vain for death records for William and/or Catherine wondering if one or the other died and Timothy might have been raised by nearby relatives, Daniel and Mary. I'm stumped! Anyone have ideas about where to go from here.
