Hello I am trying to find out more about the families of my 3rd great grandparents William Hannigan (b. abt 1821 Co. Waterford) married Bridget Gleeson (b.1826 Co. Waterford) in Aglish Parish Church Feb 1858. Emigrated to Australia approx. 1860-63. 3 Children all born in Australia.
I would be very interested to learn if there were any descendants of Gleeson and Hannigans in Waterford today or any known siblings of William And Bridget

William and Bridget were married February16 1858 at Aglish church. No location shown for William. Bridget's l;ocation was transcribed by Roots Ireland as Knockalahira which is likely Knockalahara in Kilmolash civil parish just to the north of Aglish civil parish.
There was a Gleeson family in Knockalahara in the 1901 census. Perhaps Patrick was a brother to Bridget. https://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1901/Waterford/Ballyhane/Knockalahara/1757299/
Have you taken a general DNA test? Hannigan and Gleeson were common surnames in Waterford.
