Guynan (Guinan) and Walton family
Both of these families were church of Ireland,I have used Guynan because that what was used on my g-g-ggrandmothers wedding record in Rathmolion in Meath, she herself used the Irish spelling of Guinan. They imigrated to Port Jackson in 1838 and setails on arrival gave her birthplace as Kell in Kilkenny, her mother was Ann Waltan or Walton and father was Thomas Guinan.I am interested as there are many Thomas G in Kilkenny but very few are Church of Ireland and fewer Waltons. Would estimate they were married around 1813 and her mother was Jane or Catherine. That being the case I would say Thomas was born around 1785 and Anne around 1795 as members of the Church of Ireland tended to marry later than others in the rest of the Britain and Scotland.
If anyone has information, apart from public records of birth or marriages, such as in Meath there was an informal a list of Protestant parisioners and a list of freeholders in the county that proved invaluable in researching another family,Iwould appreciate that.
