Greaney Family of Ballintleva, Ardrumkilla, County Galway

My great grandmother, Mary Greaney, was born about 1863 to Michael Greaney and Bridget/"Biddy" Craven/Creaven. She immigrated to Amesbury, MA in the 1880's but we believe that a brother, Michael Greaney, remained in Ireland, married Bridget Chrisham and had 5 children. Michael Greaney, my 2nd great grandfather, was a son of Patrick Greaney (the poet of Ballintleva) and Margaret Monahan. So Michael Greaney was a brother to Mary Ann Greaney who married Malachy Craven and to Margaret Greaney who married Thomas Reaney. I am seeking to connect with any cousins (likely 4th or 5th to me) from the Greaney's. I have also posted in the Meet and Greet section. Thank you!

Hi,

Per RootsIreland (paid subscription), Michael Greany married Bridget Craven, March 7, 1845, in Cummer, Galway. They are identified as 2nd cousins. Witness John Craven.

Regards- Mary
