Grandmothers history ?

Hello can anyone help ? My grandmother was born in Cork in 1926 most likelyto an unmarried mother. Does anyone know what is likely to have happened to her . I understand she would more than likely have been sent to a workhouse . I think she may have been in Midleton workhouse , but would realy like to find out where her parents lived and how long she was in the workhouse for . I know she married in England in 1952. I am taking my mother to Cork later this year and would love to be able to show her where her parents / grandparents were from but I am finding it difficult to find any information. If any can help in any way at all it would really help.Grandmother is now deceased.

Iv gone as far I can with sites like Ancestry , If anyone can help thankyou.

Thank you for your post.  However, this programme does not reconnect living relatives due to privacy laws and data protection requires that nothing be shared within 100 years.
