Grandmother in Leitrim

Morning,
I am searching for what happened to my Grandmother.
She was born in Donaghbeg, Leitrim in March 1922 as Mary Elizabeth Martin. Her parents were Thomas Martin (Skreeny) and Kate Conlan (Dromahair).
She married in 1940 to Robert Within, 53, who passed five years later.
In 1950 she gave birth to my Mother in Edinburgh under her married name and gave her for adoption.
Mary returned to Leitrim but I haven't found any trace of her since.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
