Graham/McLintock/Orr

Hello

Looking for information on my family tree members who moved from Ireland to Ayrshire.

Jane Sarah Orr was born in Ireland in 1815 and moved to Ayrshire where she met and married James Graham.  Her parents were Mark Orr born in 1796 in Ireland and Catherine McKay born in 1791.

James Graham was born in Ayrshire in 1811 along with his twin sister Sarah but his parents were James Graham born 1786 in Ireland - he moved to  Ayrshire with his wife Sarah McLintock born 1773.

Any information at all would be great - where in Ireland - any siblings - lines going back?  Was Sarah McLintock married before James as she was a good bit older?

Any information would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

Stephanie:

We are reviewing messages from December that did not receive a reply.

The surname Orr was very common in Northern Ireland counties.

I was unable to locate a baptismal record for a Jane Orr with father Mark. Likely the family was either Presbyterian or Church of Ireland. Finding records back to the early 19th century is difficult,

Have you considered a DNA test? Possibly you will locate matches who have more information on your family.

thanks for getting back to me

Yes I have done a DNA test but sadly no real information has come up. I have found matches that share trees with only the above information - no one seems to go back any further.

Thanks

Stephanie
