The problem is there was another Francis McGovern born in Gortnagullion Carrick on Shannon at around the same time and his father was also Edward, he was married to Ellen Carter. The Francis I am looking for was married to Maria Spears but would like to know his mother's name. I would be very gratefull for any assistance

Thanking you

Hi Una,

Do you know if Francis had children, and where they lived? I've found some information but not sure if it's the right person.

Hello Teresa

Thanks very much for replying to me. The Francis McGovern I was looking for was the son of Edward McGovern, he was born in Co.Leitrim. He was married to Maria Spears and they had 9 children including Teresa who married a Patrick Lee. I was trying to find Francis's mother (Edward's wife)

Kind Regards

Una Doyle
