Fold3 (or Forces War Records) help

Hello,

I am using ancestry.com from my public library, and I came across the desertion record of a relative, but only a transcription with basic details (Name, place, date). It said the main record was on Fold3, but my library doesn’t have a subscription for it. I was wondering if someone with a subscription could view the records for me and send the file, or describe the contents (height, eyes, hair, description, birth place).

Here are the links, his name is Arthur Kennedy, deserted in Limerick 1881. (Some of them might be duplicates, I am not sure):

There are 4 records posted on Fold3 for Arthur. I assume those are the links you have above. They are all the same.

20 2/3 old, 5' 5.5" tall, dark brown hair, blue eyes, fresh face, regimental coat and trousers, deserted June 5 1881 in Limerick, from Kildoney (Kildorrey) Cork

Yes, I knew about the baptism from a  relative, but now I am almost certain that it is the same person as the deserter, so thank you. The description in the desertion was also very interesting, now I can visualise what he looked like. I descend from John baptised 1842, he moved to Australia alongside Johanna.

Also, I found in the Griffith’s valuation house books, that Arthur Kennedy had a house in Cullenagh (where their first three children were baptised, but that listing had been crossed out, and by the time of Griffith’s valuation he was in Kilclooney (where Arthur Jr was baptised). This means that Reys is almost certainly just a mis transcription of Keys.
