Hello! My great-great-great grandfather, Patrick Finn, born in 1813 and died Sept 25, 1858 at 45 years of age, was most likely from Lisheenvalla. He and his young wife (19 years his junior and married on Oct 14, 1855)) Jane Hanly, moved to Craughwell shortly after their marriage to most likely work for a landlord who bought land there. According to Breda Finn, manager of the Lackagh museum, she said that many people from Lackagh did that. Patrick and Jane Finn had two children, Michael Edward (my great-great-great grandfather) and a daughter, Winifred. Patrick died shortly after Winifred's birth. I had the amazing pleasure and thrill of visiting his table top tomb at the Killora Graveyard last month with historian, Kieran Jordan. (He left you a message up top of this chain.) We assume that Pat Finn was probably a land agent given the social significance and cost of a table top tomb. Hope this helps! Would love to know about "your" Finns - we might be related! Cheers!
