Ferns Family of Cavan

I am looking for William Ferns b1775 d1849 married to Charlotte Ferns (Morton) b1785 d1824 who lived in County Cavan maybe Derravona ? They had 5 sons Richard, William, Morton, Robert & John. Robert & John emigrated to Australia in 1800's and Richard, William & Morton went to USA.

I would appreciate any clues to help finding further information.

regards

In the period 1825 -1835 there was no William Ferns anymore is it possible they emigrated before this time ?

The tithe applotment books only show a Thomas FERN living in the townland of Drumellisten in the parish of Annagh in County Cavan (1825)

Also found a burial in Anna ( Annagh) County Cavan  of a Morton Ferns  who died age 96 in 1896 (born 1800) , must be related

Hello, I am curious if more information has been found about William Ferns (sometimes spelled Fearns) and Charlotte Morton since this inquiry was posted. They had 5 boys: William b.1809 Cavan d.1866 Illinois, USA Robert 1810-1889 John 1819-1901 Morton 1800-1896 Richard (dates unknown) Morton and Richard remained in Ireland. Robert and John went to Australia. William, my 4th great grandfather, moved to the US, to Iowa and then Illinois. His son, William Thomas Ferns, bought a large piece of farmland in southern Oregon from his wife's uncle and they named it Fern Valley. My grandmother was born in the farmhouse there and my parents lived on the farm when I was born. I do wonder if Charlotte's family was one of the 30 Morton families (protestant) that came from Scotland came to Ireland. William and Charlotte are as far back as I have been able to go, so any direction would be appreciated. If I find anything more I will add it here as well. Kind wishes, Jess Ferns
