I'm hoping to find more information about my paternal ancestor Felin O'Neil, baptised6 Jul 1828 in Clonoe. His parents were Felin and Mary O'Neil (O'Neill). It appears that he was married to Penelope Sullivan on 23 Nov 1845 in Oughterard, Co. Galway.
Dear Sonoman:
Many thanks for your post to the message board. I have forrwarded it to a Galway volunteer who may be able to assist you further with the Galway connection associated with it.
Please give them a few weeks to reply to your query.
A very Happy New Year to you and many thanks for your interest in Ireland Reaching Out!
All the best,
Jane
Thank you, Jane. I've received some excellent information, including a baptismal lead for Felin (or Felix) O'Neill from Loughrea, which is a more likely origin for him than the more distant Clonoe, Tyrone. Much appreciated!
Best Regards,
Tom O'Neill
