Farrell and Brady

I have both lines on my mom's side come from Ireland. One of her grandfathers family moved from Athenry, Patrick Farrell and Mary Connelly were their names. I have list of at least some children. They are Michail b.1858, William b.1861, Thomas b.1862, Patrick b. 1868, Bridget b. 1872. In US Census records it shows the emigrated from Ireland about 1883. I am an Indexing Missionary for the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and have some records on Familysearch.org. I have also done some indexing of Irish Birth records. Lookinf for ny help. The other Irish side of my mom's family I have not yet found out where they hail from. I only have the surname of Brady. The Brady's emigrated in 1873.

Hello Muggsy, I am looking over old queries and can see the baptisms mentioned except Michael but there is a Mary, births in Craughwell, Galway, some are post 1864 the introduction of civil registration which are free online now here https://www.irishgenealogy.ie/en/ Click on Civil as the church records for the area are not online and you will see the addresses and mothers name on the record, Mary was born in 1866.

Some parish registers are free online also but search by event and year and month then read, can be tricky. See https://registers.nli.ie/ ;

Brady is a very common name in Cavan and even with information can be a difficult find as you will find many of the same name there, ie Mary Brady etc

Good Luck

Pat
