Hi,
I am looking for records and information on family of Ellen Dooley born 1852 County Cork to John and Johannah Dooley.
Emigration to South Australia 11 November 1860 on ship "Ramilles"
I have the Australian information for Ellen but not the details from Ireland.
Thanking You'
Katja
I found one Ellen Dooly on RootsIreland, born in Cork, with parents John and Johanna McAuliffe.
But she was likely born in 1856, not 1852. She was baptized 2 Jan 1857 in RC parish of Castlelyons, Co. Cork. Sponsors Wm. McAuliffe, Honora Dooly.
Hi Patricia,
Thank you for your reply.
I will look at this information and see where it leads.
Sometimes, ages are out depending on the records.
I found Ellen's mother, Johannah Dooley, earlier today with death of 1 March 1896 aged 80 years West Hindmarsh, Adelaide, South Australia. See findagrave memorial #241647060
This puts Johanna's birth year about 1811 but shipping records had put it about 1816.
Baptisms can occur much later too.
Enjoy your day,
Kindest Regards,
Katja
Hi Patricia,
Year 1816 is for birth and other year closer to shipping records of age/birth.
Still looking at information you have provided.
Thankyou
