Elenora Kelly and George Stuart/Stewart

Hi there i was just wondering if anyone could possibly help me find a marriage record for a george stuart/stewart and an Elenora Kelly now kelly wouldn’t be her maiden name and problem is i don’t know what her maiden name is but she was married to a Thomas Kelly who died also can’t find his death record but apparently he was from donegal town, their son Thomas married in 1911 by this time his father had died and he was born in 1892 or around that so sometime between then his mother remarried the George. I also can’t find any birth records for Mary’s children she had, the ones i know the names of were the Thomas i mentioned, Richard and Violet i think she also had a son with the man she remarried.

Ulster Shandog:

See eighth record at the link for the 1897 birth of Violet Stewart https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/birth_returns/births_1897/02106/1801757.pdf Mother is shown as Ellen Graham.

See fourth record for 1895 marriage of George Stewart and Ellen Graham https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/marriage_returns/marriages_1895/10515/5829951.pdf Ellen was listed as a spinster.

Thank you, Is there any reason why she would put herself down as a spinster? i’ve been trying to find records for Thomas under all 3 of those surnames and can’t seem to find any and it states he was born in donegal, can’t seem to find a birth record for Richard either

Do you have Thomas' 1911 marriage record that you can post? Does it show his surname as Kelly or Stewart? I looked under both surnames for the record, but did not find one.

Regards,

Carolyn

His surname was Kelly on his marriage, married mary o’donnell august 1911 registered in letterkenny

Hi,

If you are certain that the 1911 marriage record is your Thomas Kelly, it shows that his father Thomas is not dead.

When the father is dead in a marriage record, the word “dead” in parentheses is written under his name.

Regards.
