Seeking descendants of the Wade/Walker family from Roscommon (John Wade Walker, born 1807, emigrated to Mexico)
Hello everyone,
My name is Rodolfo Martinez Juarez, and I am writing to you from mexico, Mexico. I am the great-great-grandson of an Irish emigrant named John Wade Walker (known locally in Mexico as Juan Wade), who arrived in Tabasco around 1836.
According to historical and genealogical records, he was born around 1807 in County Roscommon. His parents were John Wade (born c. 1772) and Catherine Walker (born c. 1774).
John Wade Walker settled in Teapa, Tabasco, where he married María del Carmen Pérez-Medina in 1840, raised a large family, and lived until his passing in 1875.
I am trying to find out if John had any siblings who stayed behind in Ireland, and if there are any distant cousins or relatives from this Wade/Walker lineage still living in Roscommon or Ireland today.
If anyone recognizes these names in their family tree, or has advice on local church or civil records for the Wade/Walker family in Roscommon around the early 1800s, I would be incredibly grateful to connect.
Thank you very much for your time and help!
Best regards,
Rodolfo Martinez Juarez
