Edward Lennon Born abt 1797

I am trying to trace any family links to Edward Lennon Born abt 1797 in Calow Ireland. He was transported to Australia in 1818 with a life sentence via the convict ship "Earl St Vincent". On this convict ship was 3 other male Lennon's also born in Carlow. Thomas Lennon Snr Born abt 1765 (7 year Sentence), Thomas Lennon Jnr abt 1802 (7 year Sentence) & John Lennon Born abt 1791 (Life Sentence). Edward Lennon is my GGG Grandfather. I was trying to find out if Edward was related to the other Lennon's and if so why a whole family of males would be sent to Australia, surely the did'nt rob the same bakery. I am wondering if they would of been Irish rebels who the british needed to get out of Ireland.  Regards John Lennon - Brisbane Australia

Might not be connected but i have reference to the following if you look at my attachment line 100 on sheet 1 there is an Ed Lanen Born 1797 and Thomas Lannin Born 1802 line 135 Born in County Carlow  this is information from a FHL film ,probably not a connection but you never know !. Cheers Ron

I think I am! Mum sent me everyone's names an where they're from because I've been in Ireland. All my family are in Victoria, Australia. It's my GGG grandfather too. I don't have any other information on him though.

I have been tracking this family as part of the early Lennon Brother's Circus family. These are the earliest known members of the ancestry. I have been assisting a member of the family with their research. He also comes down the line of Edward Lennon. I can confirm that Edward Lennon born circa 1825 in Windsor was the son of Edward Lennon who arrived aboard the Earl St Vincent and Ellen Clarke (formally married to Daniel Tierney).
