Hi Tracey

I searched a variety of sites for Blanchfields in Waterford with very little luck I'm afraid.

There were none in the Tithe Applotments 1823-37 or the early Irish Censuses

The only 1 was this one from Griffiths Valuation (free site):

The only 1 for Edward on www.rootsireland.ie/ was this one which is way too late:

Name:Edward BlanchfieldDate of Birth:
Date of Baptism:22-Aug-1838Address:Cooke LaneParish/District:CARRICK-ON-SUIRGender:
CountyCo. Waterford
Denomination:Roman Catholic
Father:Gerald BlanchfieldMother:Mary NeilOccupation:

IF this Edward is a descendant of your Edward and IF they hadn't moved since the earlier Edward's time, there could be some relevant Blanchfield records in the National Library R C registers which are free. The records available for Carrick-on-Suir are:

Hi Tracey,

I just saw this message from 2016.  My GG grandmother was Mary Blanchfield who married Joseph Walsh of the Mall in Waterford on 23/11/1898.  Its much later but could possibly be a relation?

Hello Joe,

Edward Blanchfield is also my GGG Grandfather also.

I have not found anything beyond him being charged with stealing a watch and being transported to Australia
