Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!
I looked on Roots Ireland for any Roach/Jordan marriage in Co. Mayo and the only record was in August 1813 in the Kilconduff/Swinford RC church between Rodger Roche and Bridget Jordan. What time period did Jack and Hannah marry? Any children? There are a number of RC parishes in Mayo that don't have records in the first part of the 19th century. Let me know.

I have Roach/Roache family from County Mayo...Bohola, Killedan, Kiltimagh areas. There are also Jordans. I will look further for the Jordan---Roach connection on my tree.
When I visited Ireland I met some Jordans--very nice people, but we did not make the family connection at that time.
My great grandfather James Roach, b 1842 emigrated to the US when he was 22 along with his sister Bridget. A sister named Mary stayed in Ireland. There is also a brother that stayed there named Michael. He was in Castlebar.
Their father was Dominick Roach and mother Bridget Mulloy, who married in Feb of 1835.
My Roach tree also has connections to Kilgallen/Kilgallon family and many others in Mayo.

Hi Jean, Have you found out anything more about the Jordans? My g. g. grandmother was Bridget Jordan (1841-1907) who married Nicholas McDonagh (1836-1900) and farmed in Killedan.
Since their wedding was in Kilconduff, I assume that was the hometown of Bridget Jordan.
Almost all of their children had Jordans as godparents..Bridgets siblings, I would suppose. Listed here is the baptism date of Bridget's child and the Jordan family member who served as a sponsor:
1862- Ed
1970 - Annie
1871 - Anthony, Mary
1872 - Edward
1877 - Patrick
1881 - Pat, Mary
Any matches to youir Jordans?

Casey: Sorry for the delay. I did not find them on my tree but that might be a matter of further digging. My Roach/Roache 3 great grandparents were listed as being married in the same parish as yours---Killedan in 1835, but when I went to Ireland I found out it was actually Killasser.
Anyhow, I did do some searching and found your Bridget Joran, 1841-1907 m. Nicholas McDonagh on 25 Nov 1877
The children's names were Nicholas, b 22 Nov 1877; John b 12 Aug 1870; Anthony 15 Dec1872; Michael 19 Oct 1897; Halkoney ?? 30 Dec 1872; Patrick Joseph b 18 March 1863 d 27 Dec1935 (married to Elizabeth)
Could any of this twin your information?
Jean
