I have been trying unsuccessfully to find out more specifics about my heritage which starts in County Roscommon and, specifically, the area of Roosky. I unfortunately do not know parish names for my ancestors which include:

Anne Farrell, born in 1867, daughter of Michael Farrell and Catherine Rush Farrell.

Anne married Michael Hicks, born in 1856, son of Patrick and Mary Donahue Hicks (maybe Moher??). I even believe from my research that Patrick and Mary's son James made a donation in his will to "Parish Kilglass" to have masses said in their names.

Both Anne (Annie) and Michael came separately to the US, met and married around Spring Valley, Illinois near where I am from.

Do you happen to know anything about them- just which parish would be helpful? Thank you in advance for your help. Randy

Per trees on Ancestry, it looks like Mary Donahue died in 1857. Patrick married a Bridget Neary and they had 7 children.
