Hi
I am researching Daniel Roche (RIC Sergeant) stationed in Tipperary town in 1911. He married Agnes McDonnell of Balla in Castlebar in 1908. She move back to Balla some time after his death in 1921 and died there in July 1948.
Any of the family still in the area, to your knowledge?
Regards
Brendan

Hi McCoy
Is the Mayo Echo still in business? I tried that email and it bounced, then looked at their website found another email, tried that, it bounced.
Rang the phone number and it did not connect.
Regards
Brendan
Hi Brendan,
It appears that the Mayo Echo is no longer in existence. The Mayo News in Westport and the Western People in Ballina appear to be operating.
Hopefully you can make contact.

Hi, You may have been successful before now.
Yes there are grandchildren of Mr Roaches alive and well in Balla village.
There was a son Dan and he had a son Dan who has a business in the village.
Lovely people and very involved in the community.
If you search for Roaches Centra Balla on Facebook.
Kind regards
Jim
