Hi Marg, I am looking at old queries and it appears that the records for that parish commence in Sept 1836 so your guy is not recorded with current records, the couple have a number of other siblings to at least 1844, also there aera other Muldoon / Kelly parents in the parish which straddles Galway Roscommon, see https://registers.nli.ie/parishes/0553 ;

There appear to be twins or twice recorded on the subscripton site, Marian & Mary Muldoon, 1838, 5th June; Michael 10th Sep 1840;  Jane, 16th April 1844; 

I only searched to 1846, the famine was underway from 1845.

Hi Marg, my turn to be good mannered as I am a few days late now, mind you I thought you were really well mannered as it was 6 years before you got an answer.

I was using the subscrtiption site Roots Ireland which is easy to use but only has Irish records, the parish registers site gives the years for which there are registers by parish but the Roots site appears to have some more but that is all, https://www.rootsireland.ie/ ;

Civil records post 1864 are here and free to view, click on the civil icon, the church records do not cover a lot, only 3 counties and none in the west at all.

I think you can join Roots for a month etc There are a number of private Facebook groups in each county doing genealogy and looking for cousins etc, seem well run and friendly but I have not seen too many people make good connections but if they find one they tend to go for a private chat. Also the parish page on this website you could post your information to see if any relatives are poking around on it. I think we all hope to find the person whose family kept a detailed family bible or wrote it down, there are also DNA matching sites on FB by county and sometimes by area.
