Michelle,
Per RootsIreland (paid subscription) in 1811 a Theobald Gerachty (maybe Timothy) married Bridget Connelly in Tuam. They had another child Mary in 1814.

Thank you so much- this is so much information, and I appreciate your time. I have so many more questions that I will continue to research. Two of the questions that you may be able to answer are:
Did Catherine "Kate" - die in a workhouse? I couldnt understand or read the name of it - maybe Tuam? I am hoping I can learn more if this is the case and I have the correct name.
Also - they had 2 daughters named Mary? My great grandmother was Mary Coyne and it listed another Mary as 2 months and dead and also listed a John as 1 month - did they both die? Just trying to understand what it means.
Thank you
Michelle
If I have identified the correct Catherine, she was living with her son Coleman in 1901. By that time workhouses were being turned into hospitals and homes for the elderly.
"In the early 20th century, many Irish workhouses were repurposed as hospitals or county homes for the elderly and infirm. The Irish Free State, established in 1922, officially abolished the workhouse system, though some institutions continued to function as hospitals or homes for some time after." Irish Workhouse Reality: What Your Ancestor Truly Faced For medical reasons she might have been at the workhouse near the end of her life.
