Linda:
There are two churches currently in this parish: Church of the Blessed Sacrament in Golden and St. Patrick's in Kilfeacle. Golden and Kilfeacle are about four miles apart on the N74. I'm sure the current church buildings did not exist in 1837 although we know from the 1837 Lewis Topographical Dictionary thatthere were chapels in those two locations. The other issue is which chapel was the baptism held? Since we don't know exactly where Broken Cair was located, we won't be able to be identify the correct chapel.

Linda,
Looking at Patrick's baptismal record, his residence looks like B Caher?? Not sure what the B stands for?? There are other entries on the page that have Broken Cair??

B Caher is likely Ballycaher. There is no townland with that name in the civil parish of Relickmurry & Athassel. There is a townland called Ballycarron in the southern end of the parish. Could be your Broken Cair?

Hi Roger,
You have been immensely helpful..
I decided to look to the Irish Historical Placenames database and found Caherbristy and Broken Cahir in the( 1660's -1840's) and now is named Chahervillehowe!! so I believe this indeed was my 3rd GG Patrick Finn. Also, I believe you are correct that it's possible their church was the Church of the Blessed Sacrament (1815) Golden & Kilfeacle Parish.
While I won't know exactly where his property was , I will at least know the area as well as the possible church, which is still standing!
Thank you for all of your helpful directions .
Take good care.
Kindest regards,
Linda
