Good morning Roger.
Yes - I had come across that entry before (struggled a bit with the writing- especially the cut off place name in the centre of the book).
A couple ot times my dad -William Miley (born 1913 son of William Miley born 1881) said that his grandparents were Irish Catholic - William (born somewhere between 1831-1833) and Mary Miley but they were actually William and Susan.
However, as his father died when he was 14 years old he may have misremembered what he was told and his great grandparents were William and Mary. So the entry that you and I came across is an exciting possibility. I've had a DNA test done and I'm hoping that other Mileys in Ireland and elsewhere may at some point do the same!
Dad once said that he'd been told as a boy that the spelling of our surname had been changed generations before - and we were descended from a famous Irish king. Who knows, there may be a grain of truth in the tale.
Regardless thank you very much for taking the trouble to double check for me!
Kind regards
Paul William Miley (& my eldest son is Brett William - so we are keeping that name alive!).
