Ethel,

Please see attached - McGannon - Tithe Records -  Bohannon / Considine Kilmihil.

No record of a marriage of a James Bohannon/Bohannan found. You have Bohannon and Considine in Ballydineen. Possible?

Regards,

McCoy

Thank you  ive seen that James bohannon was married to Mary considine who had my great father micheal in ballydineen

Ethel,

Further to previous Post, a Bridget was baptised on November 1865 and a Margaret July 13th 1868.

There is a marriage for a Bridget Bohannan in 1909. A Michael Bohannan with parents James Bohannan and Mary Considine was baptised in Kilmihil on December 15th 1860.

Sponsors: Owen O'Donnell and Mary Cahill.

No I don’t know and i wish i did  ,it's a constant nightmare this mcgannon/bohannon name being changed in the family as my dads father and grandfather were all mcgannons yet buried under the name bohannon and  my great grandfather's father was listed as bohannon but I can't find anything on him like his baptism or marriage  from some records it was going on in the 1800s

Ethel

Hi Ethel, Let's see if we are connected in some way. I'm not sure, but your story about the name changes is similar to mine. Here is a link to my email: https://privnote.com/TtJyuR7p#NZAmGpIYq
