Death cert for Charles

kellyeileen20@…

A marriage cert for a Charles Parker and Martha Wilson 1879, they are married in the Presbyterian church, perhaps they are buried in a Presbyterian cemetery as it appears there are a number of cemeteries in Convoy. ( I hope I have the right Charles)

Hi Eileen

thanks for you quick response. The death is the correct Charles Parker, the marriage is his son Charles Parker and Martha Wilson my Great Grandparents.

Charles Parker snr married Jane McKinney and his father was Samuel Parker.

Charles Parker Snr was born abt 1835. Parents Samuel Parker and Agnes Doherty (Dougherty)

I have all these generations it’s just where they are buried in Convoy??! I’m stuck on.

thanks again, much appreciated

Ann

Samuel was in Roosky (another variant) at Griffith valuation) there was also a Samuel in neighbouring Tully. Attach a copy of the Griffiths valuation page which extracted at below.

Presbyterians often buried in older burial grounds sometimes attached to old abbeys, as until early1800s they were not allowed separate graveyards, in these older graveyards often find that the details from early stones are no longer visible, from the death notice, it appears taken to an old family graveyard, these can often be some distance from residence. Some graveyards now have headstone photos online. I have not located any for your ancestors. I will search for older around Convoy.
