Carr family

Searching for relatives of Thomas Owen Carr. 1795 - 1849. He was married to Elizabeth Trainor, 1792 - 1872. Both resided in County Louth. They would have been my grandparents 5 generations back

Becky,

Per Irishgenealogy (paid subscription), a Bridget Carr was born August 21, 1833, in Proleek, Lordship, Louth to Thomas Carr and Betty Trainor. Maybe their daughter?

I believe you're correct. They also had a son Patrick. He was born in Ravensdale, County Louth and died in Yates, NY, USA. He married Catherine Connor. Their daughter Carrie Elizabeth was my great grandmother.

Thanks so much for responding and sharing your information with me. I'm going to try and find when they left Ireland,. I found records of them in Massachusetts in the 1860s but they could have been here longer it's so fascinating tracking the family roots. Thanks again.
