Captain Crawford's Independent Company of Invalids

Search McGinnis, I found the following from 1789:

"Arthur McGinnis, in the parish of Rong...? Captain Crawford's Independent Company of Invalids and Katherine Holland, daughter of Nergh? Holland in Major Le Hunt's independent Company of Invalids were married together on the 11th Day of October on ethousand seven hundred and eighty nine in the chapel Elizabeth Castle Jersey."

Any help with this is most welcome!

The McGinnis I am seeking: John Arthur McGinnis b. 1799 Maryland, d. !879 Wabash County, Indiana, m. Mary Mintle in Lebanon, Warren County, Ohio 1828.

Hi Melanie,

Are any of the above connected to Ireland? Not clear from your post. Thanks!

Arthur McGinnis is likely from County Down, or possibly Antrim.

I am seeking the family of John Arthur McGinnis 1799–1879, my great great great Grandfather.

Hoping this is a clue!

Thanks for your response.

Melanie
