Looking for family members/ancestors etc. of Michael Callaghan married to Ellen Connel 11.02.1834 in Kilmurry. One of their sons was Daniel Callaghan-Farnanes- (1835-1896) married to Ellen Leary -Farran (1841-1883)

There is an 1852 Griffith's Valuation record for a Patrick Connell in the town land of Farranes, Moviddy, Cork; however, the relation to Ellen is unknown.

thank you Carolyn. Patrick may have been a brother to our Ellen who was born approx. 1803. If that were the case the parents were Patrick Connel OO Margaret Sweeny. When Micahael Callaghan (from Farnanes) married Ellen Connel 1834 their 1st witness was a Curly Sweeny all from Kilmurry. Will have to check it all out first - very interesting.

On the free site irishgenealogy.ie, the 1803 Ellen Connell's parents are Daniel Connell & Ellen Neal. YOUR Ellen Connell was baptized December 1810 to parents Patt Connell & Margt Sweeny, the sponsors were Dennis Murphy & Ellen Sweeny.
There is also a baptism record for an unknown (because original record is hard to read) Connell in Dec 1810 to the same parents, and the sponsors were William Connoll & Margaret Manning.
