Buckleys of Gibbonstown

Hi

I am researching my husband's family tree. His grandfather was William (billy) Buckley 1914-1957. His parents were Patrick Buckley and Mary Anne Cleary. I cannot find out who his parents were. 1911 census he is married to Mary Anne, 1901 he is living with Grandfather, Christopher Buckley and I presume Uncle, John Buckley - presume this as he is listed as such on the 1911 and living with Patrick and Mary Anne.

I'd also like to find out what happened to the rest of Billy's siblings so far I know:-

John 1904 - 1919 died of TB

James - 1906

Jospeh - 1908

Bridget - 1911-1916 died of TB

William - 1914 - 1957 married to Nell - died of brain anyersm

Mary Theresa - 1916-1996nun who went to USA

Christopher - 1917 went to live in liverpool

I have been to the church at bulgaden and have visited loval grave yards and cannot find a Buckley grave. Billy and nell are buried at Athenasey.

Any information on the above family greatfully recieved!

I located the 1903 marriage record. The father of Patrick Buckley is shown as Patrick Clery which I assume was a clerk's error and it should have read Patrick Buckley. The townland is Fanstown which is in the same general area as Gibbonstown.

I did also locate the 1901 census record for Mary Clerys family in Fanstown.

I tried to locate a civil birth record for Patrick Buckley in the Kilmallock registration district around 1879 and was unsuccessful finding a record with a father Patrick. 

For William's brothers James and Joseph, I would use www.irishgenealogy.ie to see if you can locate a marriage or death record for them in the Kilmallock district.

Hi Kate, Billy was my dad's brother. John Buckley. He also died at 43, in 1965.

I was 11 months old.

I knew other brothers Christy who moved to UK,and Paddy who lived in Dublin and sister Mary ,who became a nun and lived in Texas.

I would really like to hear from you.
