Brosnan/ Kenally

Hello Everyone,

I am coming over to Ireland in early April on a family history type journey with a good friend doing the same. I wanted to verify the existence of a marriage but can't seem to find it listed on Ancestry or Find My Past etc. I am looking for a marriage of a Timothy Brosnan and Annie ( Anne) Kenally who was supposedly from Kanturk. They are listed as parents of Mary Ellen Brosnan who married here in Australia ( My great , grandmother) . I would love to visit the area they lived in or the church they were married in. Please find attached marriage entry.

Hi Di,

I have checked 29 Kanturk marriage records for you but could not locate the marriage of Timothy and Annie.

Do you maybe have an estimated birth or marriage year so that I can look outside Kanturk?

I realise that your post is 4 years ago and I hope you have an answer. I'm interested in what you were able to discover. I too have been looking for this marriage. I am a descendent of Ben Brosnan who came out  to Brisbane (Queensland) with Timothy and John Brosnan on 'Ancilla' . No record of Ann but maybe she and her daugter Ellen were just an addendum to the original records(?) I note that a lot of records of those brothers (who recognised Kanturk as their Irish home on Australian certificates) and their parents Ellen and John, are from Dromtariff but I am still at the stage of working out what a civil or church parish and town etc is and what the relaionships between them are.
