Brennan/Gallagher in Tomboholla, Charlestown married in 1859, 11 children

I would love to find someone interested in the my family in Ireland. John Brennan married Mary Gallagher in 1859. They had 11 children. Many of them ended up in Pennsylvania or in Pittsburgh, Allegheny,Pennsylvania where I am from.My grandfather was James P. Brennan born in 1866. I believe their son, John Brennan, born 1863, is the only family member who remained in Ireland after their mother died in 1878.

Our story says they grew flax for linen. I met a cousin, Martin Brennan, once while visiting there. I understand he has passed away now.

I actually would like to know more about Mary Gallagher and her family. When I visited Charlestown in 1987, I was told the Gallagher family with the candy store on the main street were Gallaghers. I was not able to learn much from them at the time but would like to be in contact with anyone who knows about them.

Thank you. Carol Brennan Moss
