Welcome back!

The RC records for Thurles parish are on Roots Ireland and go back to 1795 but I was unable to find any baptismal reocrds in the 1820s for Brearton children of William. No marriage record either. Possibly they were baptized in Moycarkey RC parish just to the south. That parish has records back to 1796 but there are a couple "gap" periods including from April 1818 thru 1829.

I will also alert our parish liasion in Thurles in case he can add more information.

I hope this is still active. Based on your message, I suspect we are both looking at the same document (The Williams Paternal Ancestry Extending From About The Year 1795). I've been searching recently to identify the brother of William, Jr. that went to Australia. From my searches down under, another possible spelling is Brereton.

Hi

I’ve received your messages. I too, have the Williams Family History written by Harold Williams Sr. I have found a few inconsistencies in his historical account. This is not surprising since he wrote down verbal stories passed down from generations. Please visit www.familysearch.com . It’s free & never sends unsolicited emails regarding their religion. Our ancestor William Brereton, (jr.) can be found under

FSL#L7GW-JRM

if you review the sources, you can see marriage record and his childrens’ baptismal records.

if you find anything on the other Brereton brothers, I would like it also. I have been unsuccessful in finding anything.

Let me know if you need anything else
