Bernard Sweeny

Hi

I I am looking for the Burial location of Bernard Sweeny who was born around in 1806 in Annaghdown.

He later married Bridget Silk around 1824

Records for Annaghdown RC parish start in 1834. The subscription site Roots Ireland had baptismal records for three children of Bernard/Brian Sweeney and Bridget Silk: Patrick baptized March 19 1835 Judith baptized December 6 1837 Sarah baptized Februuary 12 1839. All baptisms in Annaghdown RC church. I don't see Bernard/Brian in the 1855 Griffiths Valuation for Annaghdown civil parish.

Civil registration of deaths started in 1864 and I did not find any civil death records up to 1900 for a Bernard Sweeney in the Tuam registration district. Likely he died pre-1864.

I think it is very unlikely that any records would exist at the church and usually markers/headstones are not available for people who died in the mid-1800s. You can check with the parish.
