Bernard McGrath

I'm looking for any information I can find on my 2nd great grandparents, Bernard McGrath (sometimes found as McGraw) and Catherine Cassidy. I have found records on the Family Search website that indicate they are both from "Lawford Co., Ireland".

Bernard was born around September of 1832. He married Catherine Cassidy in 1858. She was born around June 1836.

According to the 1900 cencus, they married in 1858. It lists Bernard's year of immigration as 1855, and Catherine's as 1863. I don't know if they were married in Ireland or in the US. Bernard's occupation in 1900 was listed as 'bricklayer.'

If you have any suggestions or information that could assist me, I would be very grateful for your help.

Hi Joni, I am afraid I am not going to be much assistance, looking over old quereis and I do not see any marrige of a McGrath and Cassidy in Ireland around that time,, also no baptisms to suit in what I think is Longford, there are 4 Catherine Cassidy baptisms in Longford around that time but how to pick the correct one is the issue, also some parishes will not have records or gaps in them at this time.

If we had a parents name we could make a stab at it but but we are at an end point.
