I'm looking for information on Bartholomew Doherty, born in either 1871 or 1872 inRowell and Meelin, County Cork. He married Julia Ellen Fitzpatrick on31 JAN 1899in Ballydesmond, Cork, Ireland. There is some confusion about how many children they had, and the names and birthdates of their children. My maternal grandfather was one of their children: Thomas Fitzpatrick Doherty, born6 Aug 1903Newmarket, County Cork, Ireland.
Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!
You should be able to find all the childrens birth registrations on the free site www.irishgenealogy.ie under the civil records button, this will tell you how many children they had
The subscription site www.rootsireland.ie also has good records, found the baptism of Bartolomew there he was born on the 18 August 1872 in the townland of Rowel in Meelin
The family is also listed on the 1911 census of Ireland with 5 children up to 1911 http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1911/Cork/Clonfert_East/Tau…
Hope this helps
Kind regards,
Anne Marie
