Thank you.
The records for Aghold between about 1730 and 1738 are confusing.
II "think" I had also recorded the baptism of "Elin" Hopkins in 1730 at some point, but I believe I may have made an error.
The image of the original page contains midway the heading "Anno Domini 1733" It shows an entry just above that heading for what appears to be a baptism for "Hopkins only son of Robert Hopkins of Boley" . The first part of that entry which should give the date and Christian name for the son appears to be missing and/or overlaid by an entry for an "Elin (or Eliz) in Jan? I think that is what you are referring to. I am now of the opinion that "Elin" in Jan (1733?) was part of another page and that she was not a Hopkins. Does your source offer any clarification as to who "Elin" (or Eliz?) was and when she was baptised?
I am thinking that the baptism for the "only son of Robert Hopkins of Boley " was likely in late 1732, as the next entries (for Dagg and Free) appear to be Jan 1 of 1733.
Esther (Hopkins) Barker's death is recorded in the Kilcommon Parish as 1836 at 99 years (or in 99th year?) which would mean she was born closer to 1737.
What is confusing is that she should have been baptised at Aghold and I found no such record.
HOWEVER,
I am using "Irishgenealogy.ie" to access photos of the original entries. The period between 1729 and 1738 appears to be missing and/or too badly damaged to read. Can you help or direct me to a new source?
"Roots Ireland" TRANSCRIPTIONS does show records for this period but I fear many errors.
I greatly appreciate your efforts.
Ross
