I am trying to find the headstone for my great grandparents Thomas (1867-1949) and Mary (1875-1952) McGowan. They lived in the Waterside. In the obituaries in the Derry Journal, Thomas was buried on September 10, 1949 and Mary was buried on October 26, 1952 in the Ardmore Burying-ground. I am not sure if they have a headstone. I plan to be in Derry at the end of October.
Thanks,

I have found that you had posted a request to the North Derry/Londonderry Genealogy and History Society via Facebook. I can see more detail in the posting as it gives the funeral detail from The Derry Journal - Thomas Sept,10th 1949 in Ardmore Burying Ground and Mary on October 25-6, 1952 at St Mary's church, Ardmore parish. I am pleased to see that you have now received an offer of assistance when arrive in Derry from a person who knows Ardmore.Â
