According to this database, Ireland, Indexes to Wills, Probate Administration, Marriage Bonds and Licences, 1591-1866, at Ancestry.com, Alexander married Mary McGeogh.

The will mentions a son William, wife Mary and daughters Margaret, Mary & Rebecca all of whom are given permission to remain in the family home.

If daughter Margaret marries she’s to get £25. If Rebecca or Mary marry they are to get £20, to be paid within 3 months and subject to the executors being content with their choices of husband.

Son in law John McComb was to get £5. Son in law Andrew Thomas Ferguson to get £1.

Wife Mary was to be supported by son William and could remain in the home but if William married and there was conflict, Mary could also live alone by sub-dividing the house. In such a situation William was to provide his mother with food etc to ensure she didn’t starve, together with a cash payment of 10 shillings every 3 months. Wife Mary could also go and live with one of her married daughters if she wanted in which case she would just get the 10 shillings payment each quarter. If any of the daughters died unmarried their share was to go to William.
