William appears in the 1837 Field Book in Tullyvallan townland, Newtownhamilton parish, Fews Upper barony, County Armagh.

In Griffiths Valuation (1864) he has a house and land amounting to just over 1 acre.

There is a marriage licence bond for  him and Margaret Smith for the Diocese of Armagh dated 1839.

His death certificate (available form GRO Roscommon) describes him as a farmer (labourer crossed out) aged 58 and a widower who died "not in the house".

He is the father of Isabella Kyle.
