William left Ireland around about 1895 and we believe he went to Chicago. This information came from a younger brother who went to Colorado and wrote home regularly. William made no contact with Ireland after leaving but we believe he married and had children but we have no names and no idea what may have happened to any of them. I have tried as many avenues as possible but am open to anything people might suggest.

County Laois, or Laois in Irish, was once known as Queen's County. Located in the midlands of Ireland, it is home to the River Nore and the River Barrow which provide excellent angling.  Our county town is Portlaoise and we have a population of approximately 80,559.  We look forward to  helping you connect with your ancestors’ place of origin.
