Thomas Guiry was born about 1807 and died 9 June 1870 in Ardmore, County Waterford. He married Ellen Curreen and they had seven children:

The family lived in a house just behind St. Declans Cathoilc Church. Thomas was a fisherman in Ardmore. They also owned a farm plot in Dysert just above Ardmore.
