John was a bleacher, address Bovagh; Mary's address was Mayoghill. Witnesses: John McGRAW and John GILMORE. Mary stayed in Aghadowey where their first three children were born (Mary Ann, William, Martha and Ellen). Stuart was in Greenock, Renfrewshire in 1861 and by 1864 they were all in Greenock. My great grandmother Elizabeth Stuart STIRRATT was born there. They then moved to Liverpool, where they remained the rest of their lives.

Ireland beats Italy at USA94 World Cup

On this day the Giants Stadium at New Jersey was a sea of Irish tricolours and the scene of great jubilation as Ireland's soccer team beat Italy for the first time. Italy was a favourite to win the tournament and it was expected that they "would play Ireland off the pitch". For Ireland, it was the most glorious outcome imaginable.
