His birth location is based on his son's 1820 petition for land in Canada, in which was enclosed a letter of Reference from the Parish Priest of Carrigallen: Robert Earls: Honest, industrious, sober, well behaved and good Protestant, and descended from same and lived and earned in aforesaid Ireland Parish and County. His wife would have accompanied him, but her name is not known. They lived with his son and family on Lot 34 Concession 3 of Beverly Township, then in Wentworth County Ontario. Since the 1830 Tax Assessment places him (and his unnamed wife) with his son of the same name https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:6ZFV-NJMV but he is not found in the 1842 census, I have assumed he would have died between 1830 and 1842. He would have been 78 in 1840
