When Richard Moran was born on February 4, 1849, in Timahoe, Kildare, Ireland, his father, John, was 39 and his mother, Mary, was 30.
He immigrated to New York in 1868.
He married Frances Robertson in 1880 in Monroe, New York. They had six children in 13 years.
He died on February 26, 1919, in Rush, New York, at the age of 70, and was buried in Honeoye Falls, New York.
