Richard Creagh was the immediate lessor of the townland of Sergeant's Lot in the civil parish of Relickmurry and Athassel, barony of Clanwilliam, County Tipperary as noted in Griffith's Valuation of 1851. Seven tenants including Daniel Ryan, my 2X great grandfather, occupied land ranging from just over 6 to 35 acres. Daniel Ryan and family emigrated to Canada West about 1850 apparently as the result of a land clearance.
