I only know for sure Peter was born in County Mayo around 1835 and emigrated to New York City about 1847.  He married Julia McNally in the 1852-53 timeframe.  They settled in the Scranton, PA area and later moved to the adjacent Wayne County.  They moved back to Scranton in 1863 where he worked in the mines and for the railroad.  In 1880 they moved to Mason County, Illinois where they both lived until their deaths in 1893 (Peter) and 1906 (Julia).
