When Patrick McKenna was born in February 1890 in Dungannon, Tyrone, his father, Arthur/Patrick, was 59 and his mother, Margaret, was 58. He married Ethel Lois Kirk in 1919 in Queensland. They had one child during their marriage. He died on 9 June 1961 in Queensland at the age of 71, and was buried there.
